Preparations were extremely thorough, so we won’t have to use more of your time for follow-up questions. We’ll stay immersed and focused for the first couple of weeks and emerge with 3-5 candidates and supporting briefs of pertinent information to review with you and schedule your first introductions!

Aaron F. deSouza

Partner, Board Member

The Free Agent (TFA) is focused on providing high quality interim and permanent assistance to Corporations and Private Equity Owned businesses within the finance, IT security, and sales functions. Aaron serves as a Partner and Board member of TFA. Aaron has 28 years of experience in the Leadership, Finance, Accounting, and M&A at global accounting firms Price-Waterhouse, Deloitte, and Grant Thornton. He brings his deep network, experience and solution-oriented mindset to help clients of TFA secure talent to triage and resolve business issues.

Garrett Girvan

Talent & Business Development Director

Garrett excelled in SaaS sales for 7+ years in Silicon Valley, selling to SMBs, Mid & Enterprise Markets, as a multi-president’s club award winner.

He worked at Broadly as employee #3 (Pre-seed to Series B) and Fintech Unicorn Tipalti (Series C to E, $8.3B Evaluation), growing from 160 to 1k+ full time employees.

Prior to Tech, Garrett worked as an employment specialist & recruiter, supporting various marginalized groups: foster care teens in Central California, disabled adults in Dublin Ireland, homeless community members in SF’s Tenderloin District.

Full-desk technical recruiting has been an excellent opportunity to weave these two worlds together with empathy, competence and diligence.

Garrett is a Dual US / Irish citizen, has traveled to 20+ countries, and has led a band to a packed house at San Francisco’s Warfield theater.
